Australian Psychological Society (APS)

1. APS exclusively accepts electronic applications; applicants should use the online application form provided on the APS website.
2. Ensure you have all required documentation prepared before initiating the application process.
3. Psychologists practising in Australia must be registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA).
4. The skills assessment for migration purposes is distinct from the assessment for registration conducted by PsyBA.
5. To meet English language proficiency requirements, achieve the necessary minimum scores in one of the following: IELTS Academic, PTE Academic, or TOEFL iBT, with results obtained within the past two years from the APS Assessment application date.
6. For a positive skills assessment from APS, demonstrate that your qualifications align with an accredited Australian qualification in psychology.
7. APS may conduct a separate Assessment of Skilled Employment History.
   • Note: This assessment is different from the one required for various skilled visas; applicants must already have a positive skills assessment from APS to be eligible for this additional, non-compulsory assessment.
