State/Territory Sponsored Investor Visa (Subclass 893)

This visa includes the following criteria:

1. You can apply for this visa if you are the primary holder of State/Territory Sponsored Investor (Provisional) visa (subclass 165).
2. You must have been resident, as the holder of a State/Territory Sponsored Investor (Provisional) visa (subclass 165), in the State or Territory of your sponsoring authority for at least 2 years in the 4 years immediately before you submit your visa application. The 2-year period does not have to be continuous.
3. You must be sponsored by the regional authority in the state or territory in which you have lived for at least 2 years in the 4 years immediately before you apply for this visa.
4. You and your family members applying with you must meet the health requirement. In some circumstances, you will not have to do medicals again. You should not do medicals until you've been asked to do so.
5. You and any members of your family aged 16 years and over who apply for the visa with you must meet certain character requirements. Other family members might also need to meet certain character requirements.
6. Sign the Australian values statement if you are 18 years of age or older, confirming your commitment to respect the Australian way of life and obey Australian laws.
7. You and your family must have paid back any money owed to the Australian Government or have a formal arrangement in place to repay it.
8. Your immigration history is considered, and you may be ineligible if you had a visa cancelled or a previous application refused.

To be eligible for this visa, you must meet the following business requirements:

1. You, or you and your partner jointly, must have maintained ownership of your designated investment of at least AUD750,000, held continuously for a minimum of 4 years.
2. A genuine commitment to sustain business or investment activities in Australia is required.
3. No involvement in unacceptable business activities is allowed.

When applying for this visa, you have the option to include members of your family unit. You have the option to include them when you submit your visa application or add them afterwards, but it must be before the decision is made.

Family members who apply for the visa must meet specific health and character requirements. Additionally, those family members who do not plan to come to Australia may still be subject to health and character requirements.
